So... What is Haven?
Haven is an inclusive and welcoming community that meets at 6pm on Sunday evenings in Guildford to worship in a contemporary and informal way.
Our gatherings are a relaxed mix of modern worship music, talks that connect what we read in the Bible with the lives we’re actually living, and prayer that is centred on God and rooted in real life.
Haven is part of the ministry of Holy Trinity St Mary’s Churches in Guildford town centre, and meets at St Mary’s Church on Quarry Street.

Is Haven for me?
Being an inclusive church is at the heart of who we are. We want Haven to be a community where everyone is welcomed exactly as they are, including those who may have felt excluded, hurt or unwelcome in church before.
Haven is a real mix of people. Some have been part of church for years, some are on the edges of faith, some are LGBT+, some come from other churches to be encouraged and refreshed, and some are exploring faith for the very first time. There’s room for you here.
We believe in inclusive church, a church that celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.
God welcomes you as you are. And so do we.
Why did Haven start?
The Story of Our Heart / Guildford, UK

Haven started because we wanted to create a church community for Guildford that was fully inclusive, contemporary and informal.
We wanted to create somewhere where we could worship God with modern music, in a relaxed atmosphere, as part of a community where everyone could feel genuinely welcome and able to belong.
Haven grew from a simple idea: church should feel like a place you can come as you are.

Quick Questions
What should I wear?
Come exactly as you are. Whether that's in a hoodie or a suit, you'll fit right in. We're far more interested in you than your clothes.
Where do I park?
There's plenty of street parking around Quarry Street, plus several public car parks within a 5-minute walk of St Mary's Church.
Think modern, high-energy worship. We lean into a contemporary creative sound that feels fresh and expressive.
What kind of music do you play?
How long does a Haven service last?
Refreshments are served from 5:40pm. Worship starts at 6pm and is generally finished by around 7pm.
Am I welcome?
More than welcome. Haven is specifically designed to be a place where you can ask big questions or just sit at the back and observe.
